Teachers and Students exchanged and studied at St. Joseph’s University in Macao
For the purpose of furthering exchange and cooperation as well as enhancing international horizon and liberal training among graduate students, 12 graduates spent a short-term joint training from December 13 to 15 at St. Joseph’s University (SJU) in Macao. Liu Jun, Secretary of the Party Committee from the School of Economics and Management, Nie Chengrong, Dean of the School from Food Science and Engineering, and Li Ying and vice Dean from the School of Life Science and Engineering were escorting the study group.
Zhang Shuguang, the Vice President, on behalf of SJU, welcomed our visit by introducing the campus culture and research level. Liu Jun expressed our great concern on further bilateral exchanges in the field of graduate education when demonstrating our current achievements of high-level science and engineering institution.
In addition, researcher Li Ying and joint-trained graduate Zhang Tao went to Macao University of Science and Technology to exchange topics with Professor Liang Yong on the afternoon of 14th . Both faculties and students from two sides exchanged views on joint graduate training and joint application programs, and reached a preliminary consensus.
During the training, students attended a set of such lectures as Professor Ansoumane Douty Diakite and Professor Karen Tagulao’s international business, environmental engineering and fisheries while visiting the marine environment laboratory. Visitors came to realize this immersive exchange training gendre were strengthening their major knowledge and English proficiency.
This event, jointly organized by the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office and the Graduate School of FOSU, aims to broaden students’ horizon and promote communications among cooperative colleges and universities. So far, FOSU and SJU both have laid much solid foundation for in-depth exchanges in the form of academic reports, course lectures and bilateral visits.
